We hosted our annual Grandparents’ Day on Friday, 31st January. The event aims to recognise the special relationship that children have with their grandparents and the important role that grandparents play in their lives. Children treated their grandparents to wonderful musical and poetry performances followed by a walk around the school’s new walking track, which skirts the perimeter of the green playing field and the organic gardens. Afterwards, refreshments were served which provided grandparents with an opportunity to recall their school days and to catch up with old friends. Two grandads had not seen each other since they were in school together 50 years ago! It was another wonderful Grandparents Day and we are grateful to all the parents and grandparents for coming along. It is an event that we look forward to every year.
